Problems with various hosted services, particularly with Windows Update,[3][4] get reported by users (and headlined by the press) as involving svchost. Reply Cijo Cyril Sep 16, 2015 @ 16:36:48 Very well, thank you Reply Muhammad Fahman Sep 16, 2015 @ 16:47:37 It really worked, I found the problem. So I disabled it and the problem was solved. December 19, 2009 Sim Thanks a lot for this wonderful piece of information! Reply kaptkz Sep 12, 2016 @ 00:49:34 I had one of the svchost.exe processes eating all of my Windows 7 memory over about 3 days. Conclusion Now that you understand what SVCHOST.EXE is and how it manages certain Windows services, seeing multiple instances in your process list should no longer be a mystery or a concern. http://mmonoplayer.com/general/svchost-com.html can u put some light on that?

Other times, a malware program may run, or inject, its service into an already running svchost.exe process. Thank You. Good Luck!

Many errors were fixed, but one was left unfixed.

Thank you so much. This is by far the best article on this topic out there! As you can see the SVCHOST.EXE that we are currently looking at in this tutorial is managing the DCOM Server Process Launcher and Terminal Services. Mr.

February 6, 2008 gerald Hi good evening.. his comment is here Thank you so much.

Open the Task Manager by pressing CTRL + SHIFT + ESC and scroll down on the Processes tab to where it says Windows Processes. You can't predict when a security hole will appear. You can see the PIDs for a running Service for the Services tab, but when a service goes insane, good luck nailing it down. Reply Darryl Glenn Jul 19, 2016 @ 17:38:44 Thanks a lot.

If you don’t already have an anti-virus program, I recommend using either Kaspersky or Bitdefender since they consistently perform at the top in AV-Test and AV-Comparatives rankings.

Demystifying the Windows Registry Ever since Windows 95, the Windows operating system has been using a centralized hierarchical database to store system settings, hardware configurations, and user preferences. I think this has some to do with the problems MS has with anti-trust laws in other countries but we just let them do what they want here in the land

Good Initiative..!! Also you can be fairly sure you have a good svchost when the process path is C:\Windows\system32\svchost.exe. Problem improved after deleting the event logs leaving cpu usage at around 50% plus. Unfortunately, there are programs that are not legitimate, such as spyware, hijackers, Trojans, worms, viruses, that load in this manner as well.

In order to troubleshoot high CPU usage problems during Windows Update, perform the following steps. The SVCHOST process for netsvcs will then start the service by executing the %SystemRoot%\system32\trkwks.dll. High CPU Utilization problem completely solved!! Svchost.exe (netsvcs) has returned to sucking my CPU.
